Success and Failure

The average person today measures success by what they own, and their failures, by what they do not. And yet true success and failure in the Creator’s eyes, couldn’t be more different.

God measures success by one’s ability to be virtuous in every circumstance, because that is what life is really all about.

Possessions are provided for by God, they do not need to be sought out if one lives as a true follower and believer.

Living a virtuous life and interacting with every living creature with a compassionate perspective, is the true possession worth seeking. It will set the individual apart from almost everyone around them. It is probably the hardest characteristic to achieve and so for the average person it can be as difficult as scaling a mountain.

Every obstacle that comes along from the dark side of life is there to prevent people from returning home to the Godhead and live in a more heavenly world. These roadblocks are specifically designed to rattle your cage, tick you off, frighten you, discourage you, or literally obliterate you from the earth. The darkness would rather not see the population of the heavens increase.

If one starts to realize that, they may be inclined to try harder to maintain equilibrium of perspective and not let their emotions get out of control; for when the emotions descend to a visceral level, the soul follows quickly behind, and the goal of life is not to stay here—going round and round in a series of endless, repetitious incarnations—but to be released from the wheel of reincarnation and go home to be with the Godhead.

So the next time you are tempted to allow your emotions to overcome your peace and calm, remember that you are facing a true success or failure moment, and seek to win. Let peace and a clear head prevail.

Keep compassion and grace at the forefront of your life and this might just be your last go-round in the material world.
